I was thinking the same thing... it could be the IAC / idle air control valve as listed above. My car does the same thing when the IAC is dirty and it gets very warm out.

In my '97 855 GLT (~260k miles), I have had good results with Castrol transmax high mileage ATF, with wife reporting smoother shifting compared to Castrol Dex Merc, the previous fluid I used.

You could check Erievovo.com and Voluparts.com ... Voluparts has had a couple items I was looking for, for reasonable prices -- usually not photographed or listed on their website... recommend emailing or calling them.

I can recommend the Castrol Transmax High Mileage ATF -- been using it for about 8 years in our 97 855 with smooth shifting.
