Re: and now the water pump leaks 2001 V70 T5 Auto
1. Unless the job is fairly recent; in most cases yes you should do them all because once you are in there then you minus well do them all since it's just a few more bolts and pretty cheap parts, and if it's 50k in then it is all right to do the whole job. It's literally $35 for the belt $25 each fo...

Re: and now the water pump leaks 2001 V70 T5 Auto
In addition to all the good advice you're receive so far I would recommend having some gasket remover on hand, foam or gel type to help soften and remove any old gasket material remaining inside the water pump cavity. From experience I found it difficult to remove old gasket material from inside the...

Re: Let's play Name That Car
OK, last chance.......anybody?........Bueller?........ It's a Lancia Montecarlo . named for the famous rally, since Lancias won a lot of rallies. Called a Scorpion in the US because Chevrolet owns Monte Carlo, and the logo for Abarth is a scorpion. Sold from about '75 to '82. This car was designed b...

Re: Wheel/Tire balance problem 2013 C30 (Resolved)
The tire/wheel problems with both my Volvo C30s have finally been resolved! The problems were mostly tire uniformity issues, radial run-out specifically. Discount Tire really went the extra mile to make it right. They upgraded the tires on both cars free of charge and even ordered an additional tire...

Hi Everyone, May be joining this era of the forum soon and have had my eyes on a few s60's as my 98 v70 bit the bullet recently. Re: SAS Delete: the Math and Physics behind it
looks like volvospeed is down that has another DIY for this mod. I would like to add that I performed this SAS delete and the A37 and A32 are the correct pins for the diode within the ECU. Note that you have to keep the solenoid/wiring in addition to the secondary air pump relay wiring as well. I wa...

Re: 2013 C30 driver's side mirror moving
Hello, Yes, I had this problem. The mirror is about to come off the actual assembly. The glue isn't holding it well anymore. My advice would be to try to carefully pry it off the assembly and then re-glue it. The reason it only happens at higher speeds is because the wind is moving it around. -Eric

Re: missing my boost
Good news, Bad news Good news, I found the leaks, bad news, I found the leaks. need both a new radiator & intercooler. smoke test reveled a leak from somewhere on the upper left-side of the intercooler (couldn't see exactly where). pressurizing the cooling system with the test cap revealed a sma...

Re: Cancer/illnesses, and caregiver, support thread
Thoughts are with you Nick. Hope your Mom and Dad are back home soon. Agree with you on spending time with your friend. Lost my Dad to stomach cancer last week. He was diagnosed in August with stage 4. They tried some experimental chemo in the Fall that nearly killed him, he recovered some in Dec/Ja...
