LED vs Halogen Headlight Comparison
Hello there, Here is a brief comparison of an LED headlight vs a stock Halogen. For the test the passenger side halogen was replaced with an LED unit while the drivers side was not changed and so has the stock halogen that had been in the car ever since i had it. This means the right side of each pi...

Re: '97 960 can't find engine drain plug
Well, I seem to be adept at answering my own questions! For the benefit of someone else with the question: I did some research to learn that the oil cooler lines are actually coolant lines that flow into a "pancake" style heat exchanger at the oil filter. So that nipple on the right-angled...

Re: V70R guys - I'm considering a V70R, what should I be wary of and looking for?
Here’s what I ended up doing to the car. The only two things I missed during my initial “inspection” of the car (on a Minneapolis city street) were the passenger side tie rod end link & a drivers side ball joint. The rest I used as a bargaining chip to get the out of pocket way down. ;) Overall ...

DIY: CV Joint Removal Tool Follow-Up
As a follow-up... I finally bought this CV tool on ebay for < $20 ($17 or so). This is the best investment ever. Re: Near emergency: No start with 4 cylinder misfire on 1998 V70R, in wildfire danger area
Couldn't get the plugs out, but I charged the battery off the neighbors' generator, pulled the injector fuse, cranked it for quite a while in stints, and when I put the fuse back in and started it, it roared to life with a clatter and a cloud of smoke. It's idling smoothly now. THANK YOU!!

Re: 2007-2011 S80/V70/XC70: blower motor replacement
Variations for RHD cars I have just completed this job on my RHD P3 2007 V70 D5 (it's one of the earliest of the Gen III V70s) and this thread was invaluable - kudos to VCA. However, there were some differences so I thought I'd outline them here for anyone in the UK or other RHD markets who wants t...
