Re: Oly 850 returns, now just a driver, new XC90
Welcome back to MVS and stay healthy. I love the new XC90, it's gorgeous and Volvo really stepped there game up a few notches with the XC90's new platform. Actually all of there new vehicles are top notch, quite an impressive line-UP. I see you owned a 1996 Volvo 850GLT at one point. We owned a 1996...

Re: 2002 XC70 variable valve timing soleniod
It looks like those trouble codes are largely related to the cam solenoid. Those solenoid usually crack when someone unplug them and then caused higher resistance causing melting of the plastic housing. I hope that's not the solenoid you already replaced.

Re: Which Spark Plugs Do I Get For 02 Volvo S60 Turbo 5Cylinder?
Using the proper spark plug is important, as mentioned previously you won't gain any HP but you could actually lose some HP using improper plugs. Volvo vehicles notoriously reject aftermarket plugs but to each there own. I'm a true believer in using factory parts, especially something as cheap as sp...

Re: Volvo XC90 - Why you love yours!
The 2004 T6 transmission requires Dextron III fluid. There is genuine Volvo Dextron fluid. I would not put non Dextron in your T6. It has a 4T65 GM transmission. June June I appreciate your feedback always. Yes you are correct that DeX 3 is what's called for but T-IV exceeds dex3 and is compatible....

Re: Volvo XC90 - Why you love yours!
How long have you been using the type 4 in your 4T65? I am really curious about any difference in shifting etc. As stated I own and drive daily a 2004 S80 T6 which is essentially your cars sister. Above is my experience with the dealer installed new Volvo 4T65 (like your car) and non standard Dextro...

Re: Sachs front struts 2004 Volvo xc70
20181107_183925.jpg 20181107_161556.jpg I've had the factory springs break and an OEM set of front springs break on our 04 XC70. I finally bought Bilstein springs. I had replaced everything up front...Sachs struts, factory strut mounts, cross nut, strut nut, bump stops from FCPEURO. Only thing that...

Re: 1979 Volvo 244DL - Show Car
I love my Volvo & bought it in 1981. I am the second owner and have maintained it extremely well. My car works in many television shows and I'm very proud of my 1979 Volvo. I've always been a believer if something works well, keep it! Why feel the need to replace it. Nothing's made in life nowa...

Re: Gap on strut
Just got a 2005 s60 and i noticed there is a gap on the top of the strut. Structs seem fairly new. Could I just tighten the top bolt or were they installed wrong. Car handles bumps fine. Madness Can you post some pics of the strut gap your referencing? Thank you June, lol. I knew what OP meant I ju...

Re: Can someone help identify this part for a 2005 XC90 2.5T?
Cleverly, while replacing rotted hoses in our 2005 XC90 2.5T, I snapped the end off what I presume is a check valve on one of the 9.5mm manifold vacuum hoses(?) https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/tuIVY9tTV9v-43DJlXjf_3FX12eQZp6_ffez_tLmNIDWN3yAmQvITMYNFtkjw4cwg1lfJqdOQhanm5gmizx5iRdaKJX6JaQwpODtI_dg...
