I got srs when I unplugged the rear seat harness, bought a $240 autel to clear code, then another $300 for vida setup on a laptop.
$550 later.... I now unhook the battery first.

I've read numerous posts where one should put the ignition key in and turn to position two, then turn the headlamps on, but there is a huge sparks display when the terminals are connected due to the current required therefore I'm not keen on that method. According to the owners manual remove the key...

Ancient Swedish lore tells us to chicken dance on one foot and spin around four times with the key in your hand, but that’s not in the manual and has never worked for me.

Don’t sweat any oil, kroil, or PB that gets into cylinder. To quote a famous biologist on this forum,

Yes, I have only seen it in place of the hex or Torx, not in addition to it. I have used just a regular wrench but a thin wrench will work for sure. In your pic it looks like the boot is messed up enough that there is room to get a regular wrench in there, check it. I actually prefer the wrench styl...

This is a photo from my 1998 BMW 528i end link....you can see the thin 16-mm wrench there...

Another good reason to replace these with with OEM Volvo ones, they come with a hex in the middle of the ball shaft so you can hold it from turning and will last about three times longer than the aftermarket ones.

I recommend not using an impact on these nuts unless you have a wrench on the rear. I could not understand why mine failed so regularly. It turns out when the car used to go to the dealer for front end work, they used impacts and just kept them spinning until they came loose. This melts the nylon cu...
