Re: Curing lawnmower syndrome, the easy way
and then go drive it in a place where you can get it over 4000 rpm in some gear and do that for at least three minutes. This will rotate valves which will clean the seat and stems.

Re: 2004 XC70 AWD not working
The AOC AWD system is not active without engine running. The hydraulic pump is not turned on until the engine running data bit is broadcast on network. If you do the same things with eng running and you do not have considerable effort to turn the wheel then there is a problem. The AOC will have a lo...

Re: 2002 V70 X/C alternator output
The amperage will shown as somethig like, "70 ->120". The low number is the output at a standard alternator RPM for engine idle speed and 120 is max rated.

Re: '98 S/V/C70 AC/Cooling fan routine question.
All M4.3 and 4.4 (Mot 5.xx on P80 for that matter) use A/C high pressure sensor and pressure level to select fan speed (hi or low). Engine temp also is used but usually if fan is running for A/C pressure reason it exceeds the cooling needs for engine. The separate EFI and Ignition on earlier 850 use...

Re: 2008 XC90 3.2L V6 misfires, fuel level sensor, Cat bank 1
The replacement coils must be stronger and better able to fire plugs when the mixture is rich and harder to ignite (higher kV required to fire without fouling). Ignore the P0464 as it is not going to cause the driveability issues. That code can set if one the fuel level sensors has a bad spot on it ...

Re: Would you rent your garage to a car enthusiast?
I see a new internet sensation: carshedbnb.com
Of course there is the risk that they rent your garage and use it to hide getaway car 2 until they rob the bank and come by and stash getaway car 1 and drive off in getaway car 2.

Re: Tips & Advice for V70 T6 purchase?
I had a V70R that I loved and is still a good car. Age takes its toll and there is little that can be done for that. Seat cushion foam ages, rubber trim hardens and disintegrates, etc. At some point you are spending money that you would not be compensated for even with a court fight for an older car...

Re: Tips & Advice for V70 T6 purchase?
The items I listed may not occur as soon in climates where 30C is rare like it does in southern row of states in US where 30-35C is present for months and 40C days happen for a dozen or more days in summer. UV level is higher and for more hours. I had a 2004 V70R that spent its first 8 years in a no...

Re: trying to identify wire in 2002 V70 X/C
It is the wire for the speaker that isn't there unless you have the optional sound system.

Re: Alternator - 120A, 140A, or 160A?
The 160A one in FCP photo has a freewheel pulley also. I see the black painted and the cadmium plated ones with the smaller caps on Volvo OE replacement ones. The black and cadmium ones both will have INA on the pulley. I'm inclined to think the cad plated may be higher capacity pulley
