Re: 2010 XC60 3.2 starter issues- not remote start related
The starter is 180 degrees off from where it is on the white engines. It below and behind oil pan (actually where you'd look for it on a Ford or Chevy with fore aft engine). The starter solenoid can cause this as can brush wear particles clogging the end of the starter. The brush particles keep the ...

Re: [2000 v70XC] Places to buy a center U joint for propshaft?
I have not replaced a center u joint on one of those shafts but I have done it on Japanese mini trucks (Kei trucks) where parts are not available in the US or are hugely expensive. (like $211 for a u joint that I ended finding locally for $18). I do not have a driveshaft like is in your car to look ...

Re: Inner Tie Rods - are new ones supposed to be this tight?
They will be bound up tight when new but all it takes is a couple of full left-right steering cycles to loosen them up. You can apply some grease to them.

Re: 1999 T5M56 poor AC performance 20 F delta
If it is cabin temp sensor then turning temp knobs to full cold will override and close blend doors to stop any heated air mixing. If it has run for a few minutes and it is 80F ambient then 45 is too high for low side pressure. That could be as simple as overcharged or the new compressor is not pump...

Re: 1999 T5M56 poor AC performance 20 F delta
Yes, if you have Vida or other scan tool. If you disconnect the a/c HPS the ECM will shut off compressor and it can't run fan properly. If you turn fan to slowest speed, recirc selected, doors and windows closed, and run engine at 1200 or more and it doesn't come down to low 20's and cycle compresso...

Re: 1999 T5M56 poor AC performance 20 F delta (OHIO issue - overcharged it)
The charge has to be very low, something below 50% before lubricant circulation is compromised. Too much and you have liquid going into return (suction) of compressor and hydraulic non-compressability and lubricant displacement becomes an issue. TXV can have the issues of throttling too much and com...

Re: 2006 V70 non turbo, fwd --help Identifying part
Switch for electric brake booster vacuum pump. If it is all still there you can compress it in a vise to keep it all in postion and use epoxy (JB Weld is my choice) and put it back together. I slather the epoxy on the barrel of the switch where it separates and then put a wrap of electricsl tape aro...

Re: 2006 s60 fuel pressure regulator
That car uses a fuel pressure sensor and then ECM reads pressure and adjusts control signal to a transistorized fuel pump controller. The fuel pressure sensor is on the left end of the fuel rail. There is a fuel pressure regulator built into the fulep pump/sender assembly cap but it is used as a back...

Re: Shorted turn indicator wire, fixed but still not working
Transistorized power supply with overcurrent protection. Disconnect batt negative cable and then hold it to the pos cable to drain capacitors to assure module memory is dumped. Hold for 10 seconds. Then reconnect and see if it functional again. 2005 and later can have this happen on many circuits in...

Re: Import Used Vehicle (Canada to US) or Buy in US?
1. Ontario will have rusty vehicles that GA will not. 2. The same vehicle will cost more in Ontario than in GA. 3. The cost will be less in GA since FWD versions of many Volvo models will be the norm in GA and AWD versions will be the bulk of the choices in Ontario. You may want AWD but maybe since ...
