No, the difference is negligible. I have run this size on several 850's and really like them better. And I'm not the only one by the way, many people do this.
You can mount them on the same rims of course.

Put fancy wheels on my 850. Apparently, the car doesn't like them, because immediately after I got sputtering and coughing like crazy. CEL came on with multiple misfire codes. I never checked after I bought the car in the spring, but I pulled the cap and rotor and they are the worse ones I have ever...

Hi June, thanks for sharing this. I've been contemplating what product to get, because both of our V70's need a good leather treatment. The seats are still in reasonably good shape, so I want to preserve them and make them supple again.

Did you check the CV axles? Did you install new one (s) by any chance? The reason why I'm asking is because something similar happened to me in the spring with my 05' V70 with same tranny. It turned out that I installed the wrong CV axle on the driver side (replacement axle was incorrectly advertise...

There is a VIN brake in mid 98', from which point on the AWD is the same as 99'.

I will try to dig that up, I know I have a document somewhere that describes this.

The last 6 digits in model year 98 must be higher than 465001. I gleaned this info from SS, you can read through this thread for more info:

I'd say you can save this tranny by starting to do a few "drain and fills". That "never touch it" philosophy is bogus.

I just had this done on my daughters 04' V70 base. My indie charged 2 hours worth of labor at the tune of $98, parts were $213.59.
the total was $409.59 plus tax.
