Re: Interchangeable parts from v70 to 97 850 sedan?

Grills are interchangeable. Doors will mount but basically do not swap unless you want to do a lot of work to make the electronics work. I.e windows, door locks. Tailgates swap! I don't think trunk lids do, however. Blower motor maybe, they are definitely different but I can't remember if they swap ...

Re: Does someone have Tuned .Bin file S70 T5?

manovlov wants to know about these ECU files... do they add HP, what else are they for, etc.

manovlov, I know a little... they can be used after a manual swap to enable things that the car needs to make it run with a manual, or if the owner installs a larger turbocharger.

Re: Does someone have Tuned .Bin file S70 T5?

Ah. The M4.4 Wiki link covers the conversion of an M4.3 car to an M4.4 ECU, but also the main purpose is for being able to adjust settings and parameters and flash a new tune file to the ECU. Re: 98 V70- What should I do while the engine is out of the car ?

I would look hard at doing those hard to reach things like water pump, serpentine belt, Idlers, PCV system, alternator brushes (?), and maybe the power steering hoses if they have not been renewed. Those hoses are a real pain to replace when they go bad.

Re: 850 Slave cylinder replacement

If you are asking about the general arrangement of the clutch master and slave cylinders, here is basic information: Your clutch foot pedal is connected by mechanical linkage to the clutch master cylinder. There is no connection to the brake system. Fluid is forced from the master cylinder to the sl...

Re: 850 Hydraulic clutch Issue

The clutch system will not have a pump to assist the operation. Only foot pressure on the pedal is used to operate the cylinder at the clutch. The engine does not need to be running for the hydraulic clutch to operate. If the clutch operates at all, then the hose connection should be correct. Did yo...

Re: 850 Hydraulic clutch Issue

Is there a hydraulic pump excepting the steering wheel one, to put the clutch lines under pressure ? Do I have to make the engine run to test properly this installation ? No for both questions. Try to bleed it "from below". Take a medical syringe of 20 ccm or greater and a hose which can ...
