Re: Honda Odyssey Question - YES, I know this is a Volvo forum, but....
I bought an 11 Odyssey 2 years ago with 94K from my neighbor, who was the 2nd owner and had to do the head gaskets. I used odyclub for help and it was super helpful. A few members really helped me with many questions and even sold me a pair of used heads that I have now run for 15K miles. I am reall...

Re: 2002 V70 (Labor Hrs. for Oil Breather Box)
If you replace the thermostat at the same time, then the notorious bolt issue is no longer an issue.

Re: i need opinions on your ownership experience
I love my 02 V70 2.4T. I did have to replace my transmission a while back, but aside from that, it's been mainly regular maintenance. I should be hitting 300k this year. I do the majority of my own maintenance, and I have ViDA, so that helps. My local indy shop that specializes in Volvos says they ...

2010 XC70 Polestar?
I saw this entry in the Ipd photo contest. Tag says XC70 T6 Polestar.
What can you tell me about this model? Engine? Is Polestar just a trim package here, or mechanical differences?
Are what are these sweet wheels? Are they stock?

New to Me 2016 XC70 T5 Platinum
Hi All. I'm about to pick up a new-to-me 2016 XC70 and have some questions. It's my fifth Volvo, second XC70 and third wagon, so a lot is familiar. But there's a decade of engineering between this one and my last so I need to get up to speed. I have a T5 in it (b5254t12) with 106K miles and I have m...

Re: V70 - Differences between 2nd & 3rd Gen?
I think you’re comparing P2 to P3 series? There shouldn’t be transmission issues with good fluid - those problems were mostly 2001 and 2002. The P2 was designed before Volvo was sold and is all Volvo. The P3 is essentially the world Ford Mondeo chassis. Check in with member scott850 - he’s done some...

Re: Considering a non-running 2007 3.2 - what to look for?
You know that old saying that there's no dog as expensive as a free puppy? It might apply here. As you're thinking about an XC90 with 150k+, consider: 1) Everything to get it to Stage 1. Oil, transmission, brake, and power steering fluid and appropriate filters in an ideal case. Maybe brake rotors a...

Re: V70 - Differences between 2nd & 3rd Gen?
Hi, the transmissions on the P3's are reliable. They will will perform better if the Transmission Fluid is changed regularly. The all wheel drive (Haldex) get's better over time - i.e.Newer Haldex is better. I personally in general - prefer the P3's over the P2's. Also in my opinion, the interior an...
