Re: What non automotive projects and repairs are you doing?
Our Golden Retriever dog, Kar (May 2008 - Dec 2022) passed away after 14-1/2 years of exciting family life -- well trained and loving. She was 6+ weeks puppy at the time of her adoption. Our daughter was in town for this Mother's Day, and she found a two-year old irresistible for Mother's Day gift. ...

Re: $10,000 S80 Challenge
- Front Wheel Bearing (right now the plan is to change one and see if the Tire noise improves) I did reach out to the Land Rover board to get their opinion on the wheel bearing. If you are interested in their comments take a look here https://www.freel2.com/forum/topic38275.html I posted my questio...

Re: What non automotive projects and repairs are you doing?
I competed the 2.5 year project of painting our house and replacing roof trim and siding under the eves. The last part finished was above the garage door where you can see the change. My wife really likes the new look. I do still have an exterior wood door I want to replace with steel. volvolugnut ...

Re: Advice on buying a used XC90 model 2009-2014
All good points, Krons; we drive a 2013A 3.2 Premier and it runs quieter. Third row seats and it flattens to awesome space behind the front seats. I love that the Service Schedule II is clearly spelled out in VIDA. It is an easier engine space to work on; and fewer items than 2.5. Here is my progres...

Re: 2006 XC70 rear diff leaking
You can lower the FD by turning the bolt #14 to access and service just the air vent valve. https://images.simplepart.com/images/uploads/SimplePart%20-%20Volvo/fullsize/a_20170411_0919217362.png I also lower and support the prop shaft at the u-joint while working at 9, 2, 3 & 8 to help FD/VC low...

Re: What did you do to your P2 Volvo today?
Booked the car in to my local air-con specialist today not knowing what the outcome would be as the car had been sitting unused in a garage for almost 10 years. The machine was hooked up and first protocol is removal of any gas already in the system. There was nothing extracted which meant all gas ...

Re: ECM-2900 and P0089 - 2005 XC70
The problem is that my car randomly looses power when going at higher speeds (90-120 km/h). Otherwise, the car starts without any issues and runs fine in the city. The codes I get are P0089 and ECM-2900, both of which seem to indicate a problem in the fuel delivery system. It seems the issue is aft...

Re: ECM-2900 and P0089 - 2005 XC70
Alright, I will take a look at that. Could it also be the MAF sensor or the ETM itself failing? From this thread, it seems like the MAF sensor failure might be what corresponds the most to my issues (idle running fine but stutters at highway speeds) : https://www.matthewsvolvosite.com/forums/viewto...
