Re: Greetings!! Also needing help with rough idle/limp mode!
It seems odd that the door problem started when the battery was replaced - it might be a computer module issue with the Drivers Door Module (DDM). But it could be that they slammed the door closed harder than you do. :) It seems likely that the other issues are caused by the battery being drained du...

Re: Shift Flare on a 2004 S60
Hi G&K, Thank you! I thought the coolant line ATF exchange pushed all the old fluid out of the system, but you point out something critical. If the ATF sump is not drained first, the coolant line ATF change adds ATF via the ATF dipstick hole into the ATF sump where old and new ATF would mix. I t...

Re: 2004 S60R computer relearn, drive cycle
The OP did a top end rebuild. The battery will have been disconnected. Going to the smog station shortly after would have found the emissions were not yet ready. In this case, it was nothing to do with a MIL code or light, just the result of clearing of the memory from no power. My transmission comp...

Re: Rough start/no start after tranny flush & b4 servo
An alternator puts out about 14.7 volts DC with a little ripple (variation). As it spins faster, it is able to supply more current. The battery acts as a reservoir to support power when the alternator is not doing so. The power drawn from the system includes the various parts of the electric system ...

Re: Strong Gasoline Odor Inside Car V70 2.4T 2002
I had a strong gas smell with my '06 S60. It turned out to be that the fuel line at the gas filter had rusted and was leaking. The filter is just in front of the passenger rear wheel on the under side of the car. It is bigger than a soft drink can. Picture in the link. While my leak was outside, I c...

Re: Which Spark Plugs Do I Get For 02 Volvo S60 Turbo 5Cylinder?
Good spark plugs are not likely to make the car faster, but using the wrong spark plugs can affect the performance and cause problems. See this comment that I found (https://www.matthewsvolvosite.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=23426). "I would only use Volvo plugs, not the "oem equivalent"...

Re: Should i keep car with these issues
Thanks, June, for people who have not been reading this site for a while, a reference to a 'glove test' is not enough. Your description was great. And Michelle, be careful about spraying a hot engine with water to clean it. If you drive to a car wash where you can do that - the engine will be hot (e...

Re: side mirror interchangeability
The side mirror options are:
- lighting (puddle light pointing down)
- electric or manual folding
- position memory
No idea how interchangeable these are but if yours is broken, you will need to be careful not to lose features.
I do not see any references to without heat (mirror deicing).

Re: 2002 volvo v70 turbo boos pressure sensor
At the front of the car is the radiator that cools the coolant, then the intercooler that cools the pressurized air from the turbo to the throttle body, and then the big engine fan that pulls air through the previous two. (There is also a ATF cooler in there somewhere.) The pipe with the compressed ...
