1998 V70 $310.00 boneyard intercept
Hi guys, Just wanted to say thanks for the outstanding post and repair data base at this site. I looked at this 98 V70 in early November from Craig's list for $1500.00. Hope this helps. Data plate right side in engine bay inner fender. My poor notes show the left side of the plate.

Wild guess but check this.....on the aft part of the door there is a metal piece that the window slides up and down on. This slide piece is attached at the bottom of the door. If this piece is loose or not secure it will make contact on the door lock actuator causing wacky electrical stuff to happen...

I would be suspicious that the cam seals are leaking. Very common on these engines.

There is a wire harness that goes through the roof into the tailgate. Inside the wire harness the wires are known to stretch and break causing shorts.

Colorado drive shaft has supplied me with 4 driveshafts over the years. Good quality product. Take a look for corrosion on the crossmember piece that supports the carrier bearing.

Volvo calls the clip a washer. Part number is 3528220. The "O" ring is part number 1028900.

The Sachs stunts are a good choice. I have yet had to install new springs.

If you are looking for a daily driver walk away. There are many 850s and V/S70s in our area for the same price. I would consider this 164 a project car.
