Re: 200 V70 Boost and v.e. 2-3 Shift issue?

The 1999-2001 P80 models are running Bosch ME7 management software which is less forgiving than the earlier versions.

Running stock wastage more than 2 turns off factory has been reported to bend rods - careful with that boost!

Re: Sons first car He is looking at a 2011 s80 questions listed below

Parts are reasonable and MVS is the best DIY website for any make on the web , frankly. If you pay to maintain, all cars are expensive. Reliability wise,...

Re: 1999 V70XC Rear brake caliper rebuild kit?

It sounds like you have the single piston Girling? Rear caliper

Re: 144 bench seat babe photo, and Volvo seatbelt history

My mom has a house three doors down from me, and I put it on to make that trip (obviously when we are headed out, not to drive 100 meters)

When my kids buckle up to move the car in the driveway, it warms the heart.

Re: Cruise Control Intermittently working-- stumped

Very little for old vacuum hose replacement. 20 year old rubber hoses all pretty much need replacing.

Re: Windshield Washer Resorvoir

It’s a well made unit and if you pull it out you can probably fix any leak with JB weld.

Lisle does show 9190695 available by the way ( sorry , that’s 1998-, on edit)

Re: Rough idle, sudden power loss - MAF, intake leak, O2 sensor?

Look at your fuel trim values at idle and at 2500 rpm to diagnose vacuum leak. At higher mass flow the leak won’t matter and the trim will tend back to a few percent. At idle , it will float to 15-20%, if you have a leak.
