Re: Mounting start button on old S70?
On a 1999, the ECM will not like having the key in constant proximity to the antenna, and might give a code for this. Its a non CEL code, so you won't see it, but you might get a start stall cycle, followed by a successful start and run cycle after that. There is no other reason to think you new key...

Re: Consensus on aftermarket / rebuilt calipers and wheel hubs?
My Cardone caliper froze up before the two year brake fluid interval, and it got fresh fluid when it went in. I always put on new bleeders and push 250 ml brake fluid whenever a wheel is open. I could not even remove the cylinder from the split open caliper with massive water pump pliers in a vice. ...

You may have jumped a tooth on time? you get about three teeth before damage so most will only notice it off the line.

Re: B5254T2 Engine (2.5T) Catalytic Converters All Going?
That cat efficiency code is rarely the cat, it's usually some other fuel issue. Changing the OXS will clear the code but not solve the issue. By the way, the PM model replaces OXS after100kmiles and certainly by 150k miles.

Re: Next Tming Belt replacement?
2002 P2
A. You are due up in 2023 or 227,000 miles - which every occurs first.
B. If you live in CA MA ME VT NY you already know you are special, and your timing belts lasts 150,000 miles. The 10 year interval does/doesnt apply - not sure.
I would follow A above, either way.

Re: Volvo Findings! (What have you found on Craigslist?)
It boggles the mind how/why people pay $60k+ for these pickup trucks. I see plenty of Ford Raptors around here. They’ll never see sand. A $5k sand rail will be more fun and have far lower operating costs. It will be more fun because you’re not risking your $70k daily driver on the trails. If you sp...

Re: Dim Headlights
The reflectors should look like mirrors, not like some guy named Matt sneaked In and made them dull, and, well, matte.
