5 cylinder reassembly update.
This is as clean as she's gonna get. No amount of brake cleaner, shop rags and razor blades can get this any cleaner.

Re: The great P80 Volvo Bloopers - Idiots - Fails thread - June 2023
Volunteered to do an oil change. Afterward started car to move it and when I put it in drive it was like neutral. Motor revved but wouldn't move. I had drained the transmission fluid. Motor had 10 qts of oil in it and trans was empty. Car was my dad's 69SS Camaro pace car. I was 10 years old.

Re: What did you do to your Volvo today?

Re: Sway bar/end link noise?
Can you post a picture of the tie rod. Are you sure you do not have them on the wrong sides? The 'bow' of the tie rod should point toward the strut. In the picture is is hard to see but it looks like it points to the back of the car.

Re: Sway bar/end link noise?
Indeed, the wrong tie rod was installed (I was sent two passenger sides when I ordered these back in 2021). Makes sense to check the contents of the boxes when they arrive!
Have ordered two new tie rods!
Thanks to all for your help in solving this mystery!!

Re: Rough idol and stalling on 2001 V70 2.4L Turbo
I reinstalled the original parts, disconnected the battery for about 30min and then reconnected. I cleared the codes and then tried to start the car again, trying to get live readings with our scanner. The car stalled out faster and even if trying to give a little bit of gas. Most of the previous co...

I just got home now and it hit me like a ton of bricks: I’m very thankful for today, and him. It’s a good day. I’m also very very thankful for my son, who is a wonderful young man. What ar...
