Re: Engine oil cooler line replacement DIY guide

Flat will make it worse. On a curve plate, the concave part faces away from the oil thermostat housing, for obvious reasons. Make sure you have proper orientation when fitting the curved plate. Option I just thought about now: find a copper washer with the same I.D. as the O-ring. Fit the copper was...

Re: Engine oil cooler line replacement DIY guide

Update: I removed the oil lines and both green o-rings were torn and they were brand new! I noticed the 'lead-in' for the o-rings was rough due to some corrosion, i filed it smooth. I think the issue is when the o-rings are getting pushed in, they got torn. Questions: has anybody inserted the green ...

Re: Newbie owner of a '98 S70 / No mechanical experience / Going for Stage 0?

If I had read this before Id probably have seriously considered your method... LOL, To be honest with you, if I have to do this ag...

Re: 2005 S60 ABS Pump Motor Replacement

My first post on here coming from Swedespeed forum. Cheers! I am replacing the ABS pump on our 2004 V70 and am using this thread as a guide. I bought a used ABS module including the BCM, and removed the ABS pump motor from the assembly. The seal stuck to the block and I am having some time getting i...

Re: 1999 V70 T5M Niseens Radiator Replacement Drain Valve

I've got a shop drawer full of them for when I inevitably strip them.

Lower hose is the way to go for draining as long as you don't have those shrink-fit hose clamps.
