Figured that after doing some interior work, that the exterior needed something, like maybe a little color.

Re: What did you do to your Volvo today?
Has everyone heard the one about the Devil and the Engineer? Which one? This is the one that cracks me up. An engineer died and reported to the pearly gates. An newly annointed angel, filling in for St. Peter, checked his dossier and grimly said, "Ah, you're an engineer; you're in the wrong pl...

Re: 98 XC:all electronics shut off while driving
Sounds much like the electrical part of the ignition switch is going bad, which is very common. Basically all of the factory ones have failed or will soon. Test by jiggling the key or by easing the key back and forth, while idling. Has it ever been replaced? Did you grab one from the junker?

Re: P80 Master O-ring Model Part Number Size Type Comment Thread
@abscate I very much appreciate postings like this and have tried to document similar information a few times myself so that others (and myself) can search it out in the database. What you've done with this o-ring info is actually quite a generous act, both in what you posted and in the other input ...

Re: 06 v70: how do I access parking brake adjuster?
I am astonished at how easy it was once I knew where the boot separates. Never would have guessed. I just pulled up on the perimeter of the leather boot at each of the five slot locations. Here are some additional pictures I took - same setup as abscate's. View from left: handbrake-boot-left.jpg Vie...

Re: 06 v70: how do I access parking brake adjuster?
if you find the adjuster doesn't give you the authority needed at the rear wheels, the cables are stretched, I snapped the adjuster in mine.
