Re: What did you do to your Volvo today?

You and your family did a great thing for the dog on its last day. I'm sad with you but glad to see a family which loved the dog that much. I'll be thinking of you.

Parts to hoard for 1998-2000 S/V70?

Which parts should we be hoarding for our 1998-2000 S/V70 in anticipation of them going end of life? Which have short lifespans or common failures so would need replacing? Which must be bought new and which are perfectly fine from a junkyard? Also, which parts are "good to have on hand", e...

Show us your MVS t-shirt

My MVS t-shirt arrived. Already, I have obtained more youth and energy. Just look at that air intake work in the background. Could only do it with MVS.

Show us your MVS t-shirt, perhaps with a car project, wrench, gained energy, etc.

Images show in reverse order

Hello, multiple images attached to a post are shown in reverse order of their file names. This especially hurts people who are posting a walkthrough and their filenames are timestamped since it shows the pictures in reverse order of their text instructions. This happens when the images are not inser...

What is wrong with the tank so that you will replace it? I decided to replace mine because it looks brittle in the area that you photographed, but nowhere else.

Re: Does it look like I need to replace the PCV system?

I recommend cleaning the PCV if you have time and intend to keep the car for a while. Like you, I just got a car with 200k mi, so I cleaned the PCV and replaced its hoses as a preventative, even though my glove test passed. Your glove test is failing, though barely. The most clear visual indication ...

Re: ['98 V70 Base] Help Identify This Hose & Line

According to the Haynes UK manual, the line coming off the manifold and running to the driver's side is the vacuum line to the Manifold Absolute Pressure sensor. It's a black rubber line with the yellow stripe, 13" long, 1/2" OD, 5/16" ID (roughly). Printing on the hose says the part ...

Re: How do I re-glue the headliner in a wagon (back half fell down)

Here's the trim panel above the rear window on a 2000 V70 in case it's at all similar to an 850. There are many cylindrical points on the trim which are held by C clips on the ceiling. Similar C clips are used on the window side of the D pillar, part 3539879. On the trunk door side of the D pillar, ...
