Re: PCV replacement questions.
There is a lower port in particular (the lowest towards the bottom of the engine), needs a hose that fits tight in there (may wrap the end of it with some duck tape), then blow at the other end and listed for oil bubbling inside the oil pan. Should be quite easily to blow through it. Very wise decis...

Re: hello I'm from Uruguay problems
As above, that would be a major swap, not just hardware but also on the computer side. I'm afraid you won't find such answer easily on forums (about the wire pins) but you may try on a Sweden forum (swedish people do speak english quite well even though the forums are in swedish). Surely some of the...

Re: no cabin heat
wondering if needles have been ingested into the heater case and are blocking damper doors. Could that happen and if so, what's the procedure to inspect? Yes, they can, but if you hear the blower spinning at full speed, it shouldn't be a problem. Maybe have a look at the cabin air filter, how is th...

Re: VIDA resets after Tranny swap.
Circling back to adaptations, if one uses the original valve body on a different transmission this will cause problems. The solenoids have adjusted their patterns to adjust for clutch pack wear. Unless the wear is exact between the two transmissions, the transmission will either slam or soft shift ...

Re: Dim not responding 2005 V70 2.4 NA
How many miles? Same miles on DIM/maintenance papers? As mentioned, I'd look at the CEM, 2005 has water ingress (Xemodex) and can cause DIM issues Brake booster vacuum pump not working can be burnt from over running from leaking brake booster pedal seal www.youtube.com/watch?v=jKcDOLIYR3A Don,t forg...

Re: Slight smell when driving highway up hill...P0420
As above, test first the PCV. It gets clogged at higher miles and may burn or leak oil at the PCV hoses (if cracked) or worse at the engine seals. It would smell burnt oil www.youtube.com/watch?v=gK8kUQxhT_8 The downpipe flexible also starts leaking at higher miles, it would smell like exhaust gases...

Re: XC90 snorkel for offroading
I would be careful trying to dive with these cars.. Even just on the road, there have been issues with water ingress, firewall harness not sealing properly, water leaking on computer modules hard to diagnose. I wouldn't go deeper than 1ft water, even the transmission has a breather pipe that may suc...

Re: Brakes Not Working When Turning On My S60 2007
That is a little strange it works once is warmed up. How cold is the weather there? I assume the car was recently purchased? My first thoughts went with a frozen brake fluid if weather is sub zero, from either water in the fluid or wrong fluid altogether. I've had this experience on two other cars, ...
