Re: 2001 V70XC - Front Seat Replacement
2001 is a 2001-2003 seat. In 2004, Volvo updated entirely the seat frames, floor bolting, electrical connectors and perhaps also the SRS electronic modules under the seat. Note that the seat cushion will look the same from 2001-2009 (2007 for the V70 and XC70), but the cushion attaches completely di...

Re: Fuel Pump Relay Location to the 2001 XC70
I've heard the 2001-2002 don't have a PEM but I might be wrong. These are the locations I'm aware off on 2003-up The XC90 also has a location inside the left (?) rear wheel well, behind the plastic cover The fuel pumps on these Volvo are unlike what you will find in a Honda or Ford. Volvo ones last ...

Re: Fuel Pump Relay Location to the 2001 XC70
Also have a look at the FPS in the same place, if there's one at the right end of the fuel rail. You may also have a external fuel filter, worth servicing it while there

Re: 03 S60 brake booster and vacuum pump issue
First make sure you have a pump down there, it's down under the air filter box, and you should see the switch attached to the front of the box as well. Start by looking at the switch, the plastic cover does break and fall. If replacing it, test the pump as explained here below. If you have a pump, j...

Re: 03 S60 brake booster and vacuum pump issue
Welcome. I'm working on replacing the booster seal 'in situ' this summer, so if you find this issue, I'll put a video with a DIY this summer

Re: No Oil Pressure - Stop Engine
Any quality anaerobic should do, I see no reasons why Permatex won't work How is the oil passage from the PCV box, I think is this one, it should be cleaned nicely. See on the corresponding hole on the block side too. It is perhaps good time to also replace the PCV (maybe once the pan is back, a qui...

Re: Steering Rack issue on 2006 XC70
I would advise against starting to replace many parts at once. You don't know if the previous owner has already replaced some of them. That noise is a little strange, I think you can try locating it more precisely using a 1/2" hose, one end at your ear, the other near any parts - careful near r...

Re: Took serpentine belt off to replace, neither old nor new belt will go back on
As above, I we all pass it on the power steering pump in the last place. Assuming you have the correct belt, I have to say that the trick is to really turn the tensioner to the maximum: the wrench (or whatever is used to remove the tension on the tensioner) must be fully rotated aaall the way. When ...

Re: Speed Sensitive Rack?
Most surely you won't have it on the base engine. But look with a flash light right at the rack area for a wire connector - that would be the ss sensor. Usually I think only on XC90, R models as well as Titanium models. https://www.nadaguides.com/Cars/Volvo/S60

Re: Dim not responding 2005 V70 2.4 NA
May as well check the connector behind the DIM For the CEM, if I'm not wrong, I think the water ingress happened from a harness gasket passing outside the firewall above the CEM, somewhere under the windshield cowl. Maybe lifting the cowl (the wiper arm is hard to remove) and look underneath to clea...
