Re: 2005 V70R steering moan
Part #13 for the 2005 is the big rubber boot but the diagram doesn't indicate the small bearing located inside at the top of the boot, same for the sort of large C clip that secures the boot to the floor

Re: S60 2002 A/C Magnetic Clutch Fix (instead of 'bread clip fix')
Just careful as the upper liner clips at the fender are pretty annoying and may damage the paint if forced. The liner itself is quite stubborn to put back on those two small studs

Re: Loss of torque in hot weather.
I suggest also cleaning the IAT that's on the MAF sensor, you will find it has a thick crust on it (to clean the MAF you need a special MAF spray) www.youtube.com/watch?v=-bejldUOfVs But I think the problem may be at other place. It's an automatic? Maybe a vacuum leak ? I remember someone had a prob...

Re: AWD transmission --> FWD
Hopefully the donor transmission is confirmed in good working condition. All those 01-02 had the same issues. If yours is still working decently, may try first swapping only the valve body - a much easier job.

Re: Do I have 140hp or 170hp from the factory?
In North America the 2.4 na had 168hp. European markets have a different 'marketing' when it comes to engine size and power, so Volvo sold them the exact same engine but with an ECU mod that cut the hp down to 140hp on the base model - they could still get the 168hp model for extra money. They also ...

Re: 2005 XC70 sudden loss of drive
You may always try to find a used part in good condition. Were there any noises before ? A drive shaft doesn't break all of a sudden without making noise prior to that. Was the engine still running when this happened, or it also died ? Could you start the car ? https://www.volvoforums.org.uk/forumdi...

Re: Spark plug issue
There are indeed sparks plugs with longer 'threaded' section for the 3.2 engine, however the ones in the picture appear to be the shorter ones. OP mentions the spark plug replaced lately looked like it had impact on the electrode. Could you upload a close up with this ? It's is hard to think there w...

Re: foamy power steering fluid
You could have got a used reservoir with hose off ebay, this is the newer model that has no longer that brass piece inside https://www.ebay.com/itm/99-07-OEM-Volvo-S60-V70-S80-S70-Power-Steering-Fluid-Reservoir-w-Suction-Hose/114473850732?epid=1328922710&hash=item1aa72c576c%3Ag%3AXgwAAOSwLsFfjw8...

Re: Power steering reservoir leaking
Best is to get the new reservoir model off ebay, with the rubber hose attached - or from the junkyard May lift it, drain it, use a large towel to cover the engine. If you lift the coolant res, make sure to disconnect the sensor underneath The two are difficult to separate at the upper clip Takes onl...
