Re: S70 Starts but won't accelerate and dies
50 at pump, regulated to 43 at fuel rail, fuel rail is where most of us measure The test and spec in Vida are for the Schroeder valve right after the pump. Starting in 1998 in North America , Motronic 44 and DENSO (NA) and ME7 (99- Turbo) use different pressure regulation than previous. I learned th...

Re: Volvo 850 T5 - Its been a while
Hello, I'm really happy that you have one off those... Actualy it was my father who created that chip and my grandfather who was the prototype designer for the btcc car. Re: 99 V70 T5 cooling fan
Hey guys. Replacing my radiator and some other bits and found 2 broke. “Supports” I guess you’d call it on my cooling fan. I don’t think this parts available any more from Volvo. The one on FCP says it’s for an NA car except works for the AWD turbo? I don’t understand that. Anyway, I’d prefer not t...

Re: 96 850 N/A no start issue.
OK, after action review. First, after some comments here I did try a shot of starting fluid to confirm that it was not fuel. After all, I was propping the coil wire next to a bolt and watching from the side as I cranked it to check for spark. I could have missed it. Cranked, but no cough. So, not fu...

Re: 1994 Volvo 850 Vacuum Tree Issue
The cruise control pump has two vacuum outlets. Supposedly one goes to the cabin and the other is left open. Not sure why but that seems to be what I could find.

Re: V70 2.4T High Idle after head gasket job
If you mean intake manifold/collector gasket, you will not be the first to get caught wit that one. On the Right Side of the manifold (when standing infront of the car looking at the engine) there is a bracket that holds a pipe if I recall. It may not be the same on a 00 car, but for sure on 98 and ...

Re: Tightening the fluid line's nut on the steering rack without removing it?
Crows foot socket did the trick, thanks everyone!
For anyone in the future trying this, the combination that worked for me was: 18mm crows foot socket -> universal joint -> extension -> wrench.

Re: VGLA code - can you obtain it yourself?
When you guys are saying remotes are stored in the VGLA module, which one is it on -98 S/V70 ? The alarm module that's attached to the steering column, or the module on top of the instruments (pictured) ? https://www.usedecus.com/images/products/th/340x300_6/20170831_125145.jpg The remotes never wo...

Rebuilding 98 v70 throttle spring assembly
I decided to rebuild the throttle spring on my 98 v70 as they seized up while in storage up north. It seems that rust can build up on the rotating shaft where the throttle cable links to the throttle assembly. This rust can bind up the shaft and lead to a sticky throttle. There is a spring on this r...
