Re: R Engine Covers S60R V70R- Blue

Will Rit dye work for exterior trim? Mine look all dull gray. volvolugnut 3 of mine looked terrible too, with the starting of the “stretch marks” or “zebra stripes” on the plastic cladding. I used this stuff several times with very good results. Cars that sit outside year round seem much more prone...

Re: 2004 V70R, AT, $4250 OBO Helena, Montana

05/18 Mototec turbo down pipe with Cat and mottoes touring cat-back exhaust kit purchase Seriously, this has so much time, effort, and dollars invested into it. I'm amazed it hasn't been taken yet. It would have been spoken for long ago up here. Couple questions for you: - The headlight lenses, how...

Re: Say no to Rain-X windshield washer fluid ?

This ceramic coating is one of my favorite products. It lasts far longer than any other detailing product I’ve tried. What’s even cooler than that is how easy it is to apply. Only drawback is you need to use your own spray bottle. Effects on front glass are similar to rain-x, maybe not quite as hydr...

Re: Rear Shocks. Can't access upper mount bolts. Misaligned

Not to steal anyone’s thunder, but, unfortunately, yes. The expense that comes with P2 AWD suspension repairs (at a shop) comes chiefly in the labor involved. All AWD P2’s require removal of the entire assembly to replace worn out shocks or cracked springs. To do either, you will need spring compres...

Re: Rear Shocks. Can't access upper mount bolts. Misaligned

Actually, I’d be willing to bet that the shocks you got from IPD do fit . Part of fitting the shocks requires removal of the entire assembly, and then taking apart that assembly. There honestly is no way around that. Cutting into your trunk metal will accomplish nothing as you will still need to rem...

Re: Driving Light mount kit advice

I’ve seen the bumper mount lighting kit before but have no experience with it. Here is the cost to add fogs to a 01-04 V70 (2005 may differ?) using a factory LSM. 8698123 kit for fogs 203.10 8622840 harness 47.61 9438287 software 35.21 Does not include labor. Labor is ~.5 hr to install software only...

Re: Can I use this transmission fluid in my 2006 s60 2.5t

A lot of people have used Valvoline MaxLife in the red gallon jug from Wal-mart with great success. A lot of people use Toyota T-IV (T-4). And a lot of people use other ATF that “meets the requirements”. Toyota T-IV is typically around $6/qt at a Toyota dealership. MaxLife is around $17-19/gallon. I...

Re: IPD ecm softloader still available

I never got an answer to "why?", but in my many talks with IPD/Ken Pruett they don't do the softloader program anymore. They do the wireless tunes/Gluon module nowadays. I don't know if they ship to OZ, but worth asking. I've done 3 of their wireless tunes with great success. I've not trie...

Re: VOLVO XC70 2005 2.5T Turbo oil leak DIM

That’s an easy to misread image; it is showing both “R” and 2.5T fitments. The “R” has a split or 2-piece intercooler setup. Unless somebody has fitted one on your car prior to you’re acquisition, you do not have parts 15, 16, & 3a. Also you will have charged air pipe #1 vs 1a. Hose #5 is what I...
