Here in the USA, I would measure and go to a well stocked hardware to look for a hole grommet or plug. They are a stock part in many sizes.

I have successfully replaced brake hoses on my 2001 V70 at about 190K miles. Mine did not have excessive corrosion on the parts. I used SK flare wrenches. They are thick and rigid. As I recall, one end of the connection is effectively locked from rotation by the bracket (the steel tube end I think)....

Does anyone have a decent source for a high quality version of this corrugated tubing? Many of the reviews I read about Amazon shipped products indicated some weren't very heat resistant and deteriorated too fast. Maybe something that can be locally sourced at a chain auto parts store? Re: 850 Radiator coolant leak
My 2001 V70 T5 developed a radiator leak at the hose neck at about 180K miles. It was slow leak and only under pressure. I replaced before it got worse so I would not have to worry about a sudden, large failure.

Carb cleaner will cut these deposits. A stiff brush (brass or nylon) will work better than a pipe cleaner. You will have to do some scrubbing. In the cases where semi generic hose parts are no longer available, you may be able to get the advice of a knowledgeable auto parts counter guy. A good one with gray hair may be able to advise what will be a good replacement. You will have to shop around to find a counter guy who knows more than how...

Another possible water leak path is from the seal at the blower motor and fire wall/cowl. See my post for a solution I made for this problem.
