Hy Buddies,
I parked my car this morning for a couple of hours. When i picked it up back, i saw a puddle under the car, on the front, passenger side, under the radiator.
As I don't want to mix extra coolant with Volvo one, i ordered a bottle of 'ready to use' to make the level. I think that to have travelled by 35 ° last week to reach holiday place (at 90 km/hour) was a bit much... This car has spent 20 years in saudi Arabia. Plastics may have been cooked. The radiator is to replace.
Do you think i can drive home without to worry much ?
Is it possible to keep and re use the coolant if it is clear ?
Which radiator is OEM one ?
Thanks for advice.

Since yesterday, no lost of coolant, so i think it leaks whenn the system is under pressure, so, it may only be a matter if hose. the car will bring us back, just the liquid level to control.

Make sure the low coolant level light is working, drive home keeping a close watch on it. Stop every hour to get a feel of hoe fast you are losing coolant.

My 2001 V70 T5 developed a radiator leak at the hose neck at about 180K miles. It was slow leak and only under pressure. I replaced before it got worse so I would not have to worry about a sudden, large failure.

I've replaced two radiators on my 850. It was the joint between the plastic side tanks and the metal radiator body.

do88.se has an all-aluminium upgrade radiator if you need to replace it. Probably not the cheapest option, but it is good.

Not really a good option. Have heard of several of those that failed. Not worth it, really.hausmeister wrote: ↑21 Aug 2021, 15:18 do88.se has an all-aluminium upgrade radiator if you need to replace it. Probably not the cheapest option, but it is good.
Stock is good enough. Not a hard job to swap out, but the two main mounting bolts can get seized up, which makes things WAAAY more difficult than it needs to be.
