Re: 99-98 Ignition conversion from CDI to distributor
That should work ok. There are minor things that you will have to bring over from the 98 block but nothing that isnt fixable in place. Coil on plug is a much better system from a reliability standpoint, but the ignition on the 92-98 is great if its kept dry, and the cam seals are kept happy. All sta...

Re: What did you do to your P2 Volvo today?
I will keep that in mind, thank you very much. That project is scheduled to start in the spring. One of the first things I need to rebuild is the entire throttle linkage system, which is worn out/ seized. If you have good parts for that I would like to talk to you at some point. But there will be a...

Re: 2007 V70 2.4 Transmission fluid too far gone?
Thank you both for your wisdom and advice. I'm going to listen to you (and my gut) and pass on it. One of the cleaner examples I have seen so it was tempting, but it's not worth taking a $4,000 risk.

Re: ABS resistance checks out, module repaired, still have codes
Did you or anyone else use RTV (Room Temp Vulcanizing) to seal the box? RTF has acidic acid which can cause corrosion in the enclosure. Your circuit board looks a little crusty to me. volvolugnut I have read about that and no i didn't use RTV. Whatever i used didn't smell like vinegar which was the...

Re: For Sale: Volvo 240 Wheels w/ Michelins 185/70/14 + Covers, reduced to $120
These are no longer available. The plan is to personally deliver them to Volvolugnut in OK at the end of June.
At that point, certain Mercedes parts will make their way back to the East Coast.
Watch for the official announcement in the Road Trip Section soon

Re: Sometimes I like to try to name flags on member list
I love flag designs, but I’m bad at identifying. There are some cool ones out there. Ghana black star. New Zealand Southern Cross. Some are non-rectangular.

Re: Volvo has been overthinking its cars for about 15 years now
Fair enough, but it owes you little and has that value you can keep around for those occasions you need to move something large. The other option is hiring a truck when you need one or hassling a buddy with one for their help.

Re: Ten years with MVS
Ok you’re good then. Otherwise every 10 years = mandatory gap year, where you must travel and have fun, and cannot log on MVS.volvolugnut wrote: ↑23 Jan 2025, 17:56 Actually, I can't count. It has been 11 years this month.
