2005 xc90 fuel sender leak
As part of my mini restoration I've been chasing a fuel tank leak. Ever since I replaced the fuel I have gas pooling on top of the fuel sender. Originally I did not change o-ring but since chasing the leak i have. I put a volvo brand o-ring, cleaning the sealing surface very well and greased the o-r...

Re: where do you keep your phone in your 850?
Some times I open the ash tray (which has never been used as an ash tray) and set my phone in landscape. It rests quite comfortably there and you can still get a glimpse of Google maps.

Re: 2005 xc90 fuel sender leak
Replaced the fuel sender today with a Bosch unit from FCP. Filled up 2 hours ago and so far no fuel smell and no leaks. I'm gonna give it a little time and then these seats are going back in!

Re: where do you keep your phone in your 850?
Proclipusa used to make one that attached to the right side of the centered area. It wedged itself between the dash pad and the dashboard and did not block any vents. I don't see it available anymore. I used to have one years ago. Here are some pictures i stole from Google. BR.851936.jpg BR.851936-1...

Re: S70 ran out of oil :(
I have ran my 850 out of oil twice due to the cooler line blowing off the radiator on the highway. I couldn't stop for several miles. That was 10+ years ago and she's still running fine. My lifters always sound like that after it's been sitting undriven for more than a week. My xc90 2.5t sounds like...

Re: What did you do to your P2 Volvo today?
My ceramic sockets have pigtail wire ends. Consensus is it necessary to solder/heatshrink these connections or would a simple crimp butt connector work ? If you don't want to solder and heatshrink itself, use "Heat Shrink Solder Sleeve Butt Connectors" (just search Amazon for that). It do...

Re: Likely hood of bent valves with broken timing belt
My 2005 xc90 has the same 5 cylinder interference engine as all the p80s. My timing belt broke while sitting in traffic. I did not know this at the time and spent several weeks troubleshooting the problem. In that time I turned the engine over like 1000 times. When I discovered the broken timing bel...
