Re: 850 Hydraulic clutch Issue
Did the slave cylinder pop loose from it's location again? Was the c-clip still in place? It's not really possible for the slave piston/pin to push itself that far out when things are properly retained. There is no pressure in that reservoir, so it shouldn't really matter where you attach it to the ...

Re: 850 Hydraulic clutch Issue
Yes, I understand how the circuit is supposed to work, and that diagram isn't it. How are you attaching 2 hoses to that slave cylinder? It's no different than any of the others, and it has a connection from the clutch master (at the pedal) and a bleeder nipple. That's it. Where are you connecting th...

Re: How important is this gasket?
Well I found another post here that said that cars with the orange injectors did not have that retainer. Cars with blues or whites did. I'm going out to the junkyard today to look at a recent arrival so I'm going to check this out. Seems like the two bolts hold the fuel rail down so I don't see how...

Re: 850 subframe drop and suspension rebuild
I was under the impression #53 and #50 are the same, but #48 differs. Being wrong here is definitely a good thing, though, as it's one less thing to consider. I assume you mean #43 and #50? (Not #53 and #50) Grab all of the fasteners for the big mid-brace. All of the bolts at the front (the rear SF...

Re: My head is spinning - HELP please!1998 S70 replacement rotors/pads
GLT is a trim level in the UK/Europe. In the US it refers to the low pressure turbo versions of the 850s & C/S/V70s. Just a correction. "GLT" was only an LPT version in the US for the 850's in '97. It was a trim level for the '93-'96 models. These guys have you covered with recommenda...

Re: 1994 Volvo 850 - Confused which timing belt to buy
EDIT -
I mis-spoke. It IS the engine serial # that you need to reference, not the chassis #.
Your engine serial # is 289993, which is after the change-over. Sorry.

Re: 850 subframe conversion (c70 convertible )
The solid bushing inserts in the convertible subframe aren't any different to the Delrin bushings used as a upgrade for the standard subframe. You won't notice any difference in "harshness" really. Unless you are extra sensitive to that sort of thing. I noticed no harness change in my 854 ...

Re: 1998 V70R AWD - No over-run on engine cooling fan.
The fan run-on is usually the sign of a bad ECT sensor. The coolant forcing its way past the reservoir cap isn't normal, and shows potential of pressurization of the cooling system, perhaps via a bad headgasket. That or some other blockage in the system (bad radiator, bad thermostat, etc). By "...

Re: 1998 V70R AWD - No over-run on engine cooling fan.
Oh, sorry, I misread. The fan *shouldn't* run after the engine is shut off. At least not normally. The only time that it does is usually when the ECT had failed, or is out of spec.
I'm confused. Does coolant spew out of the reservoir, or not?
