Re: 98 S70 - starts up then dies immediately [ look over help needed, Indianapolis]
Just you update you guys… Chuck W saved the day. It was the fuel pump relay. I’m very grateful to both him and you all for all the help you provided. I’ll probably be back at some point with questions on another car matter, but hopefully it will be awhile! Ha. Thanks guys!

Re: I’ve almost given up, but then I saw this one..
Omg, I totally used to have a 91’ 740. It’s was blue. No headliner. Radio didn’t work. Loved that car. Crashed it. I swear I’m not a terrible driver, it’s other people! Ha. That one is a little out of my price range for a cash car. I had a finite amount to spend. I’m going to pick up the s70 this ev...

Re: I’ve almost given up, but then I saw this one..
That looks to have a persistent P0455 code. Seeing as they "found no leaks", I'm guessing it would be above the tank. It's not a real issue, but annoying. My wife's '97 GLT had a P0455 code for 3-4 years until I finally traced it to a chewed up hose on top of the tank. It looks like it wa...

Re: 98 v70: fail to start when cold
The update you've been waiting for! As stated in my 2nd to last post, I did not change out the coolant temp sensor. I did attempt to start this morning with the new fuel pump relay. Success! Now I dont have to worry about not taking the Volvo on my road trip in late march/early April. I had made pla...

Re: Cranks ok but no start 98 V70 turbo
erik-Have you tried waving your hands over the main FI relay up by the fan? (I didn't see that in your posts). Is it at least clicking when you try and start it? The 98 P80 cars don't have a FI relay at the shroud like in the 850s. That function is handed by a J relay, not sure which one (there are...

Re: What did you do to your Volvo today?
Kat stranded me today. Slight surging as I pulled up the hill the one mile to the train station, then dropped to an idle amd stalled just as I pulled into 25A major route. Pushed to side. Cranks m fires , rough idle , then stalls. Feels the poor fuel delivery problem. Hope the pump hasn’t come loos...

Re: What did you do to your Volvo today?
Finally had a chance to try out the HFT tire changer to replace the new tire I gouged a hole into while pulling over for an emergency vehicle. It took a little finagling and got the tire half off before I ran out of daylight. I sure hope the other Goodyears I bought on sale will go on easily. Also b...

Re: Matthew's '98 V70
The heat thing is probably a damper motor issue, based on the test drive today and input from test drivers Noah and Dan, who discovered that the center vents were cold but outer vents were warm.
