Re: Rear Shocks. Can't access upper mount bolts. Misaligned
Actually, I’d be willing to bet that the shocks you got from IPD do fit . Part of fitting the shocks requires removal of the entire assembly, and then taking apart that assembly. There honestly is no way around that. Cutting into your trunk metal will accomplish nothing as you will still need to rem...

Re: Rear Shocks. Can't access upper mount bolts. Misaligned
Hey Everyone, Job completed. I changed the two front struts. Installed pre-loaded strut assemblies. And the two rear shock absorbers. In hindsight it wasn't that difficult. I actually used the jack that came with my car to force the rear wheels down enough so that I could get the rear shocks back on...

Re: 2005 XC70 2.5T Coolant Capacity
You have to live in a really pathological place to not get away with a single gallon of coolant in a P80. We very rarely dip below 0F here so running 40-44% coolant is fine. Wind chill is irrelevant to coolant planning btw, we had a ( non Volvo ) dealer SA who used to upsell coolant changes based on...

Re: Front quick struts
I installed Sachs Quick Struts in 2019, so far so good 25K miles later. Some people here had issues with it: I think it was @abscate. PS: Whatever you do, don't touch the Quick Struts with no names sold on ebay or local auto parts store. These struts are made in China. You can count on them failing...

Re: 2004 XC70 no start - faulty fuel pump and/or electrical connections?
You’ve got critter damage on that wiring, Dave. Look at the nuts they gathered up too.
