Re: What did you do to your Volvo today?

I need to see what I can do about my PS pump. The top bolt threads are stripped out, so I can only use 2/3 bolts. I’ll probably get a thread insert. Dip the bolt in molten wax, you want just a thin layer of wax on the bolt. Pack the bolt with JB Weld. Insert bolt, clean off excess and let JB Weld c...

Re: What did you do to your Volvo today?

That's an idea, I might have to give that a try. More tips on working with JB Weld. 1. Use the Original JB Weld not the quick set. 2. As stated above JB Weld will not bond to Wax, Oil, Grease or dirt. Bonding surface needs to be clean, squeaky clean. 3. If you need the JB Weld to spread thinner or ...

Re: Vida CEM swapping

PowerMatz wrote: 09 Jun 2021, 10:43 Hi, here is a new part number:
You are misinterpreting the output. The software found 30786579 in the database. 30786579 is a known CEM.
If a CEM part number is not found in the database the software will output " "Unknown CEM part number XXXXXXXX. Don't know what to do".

Did you try cleaning the ECC connectors before you replaced the ECC?

Re: overheated 1998 S90, potential damage?

The 2.9L six cylinder is a long head. The longer the head the more prone it is to warpage. That one of the reasons they invented the V8. Two short 4 cylinder heads are less prone to warpage.

Compression test and do the chemical test for exhaust gases in the coolant.

Re: Drivers seat adjustment - 2000 V70R

Or lose some of the forward overhang!!  Cut Sugar out of the diet and eat more fats. Sugar consumption is the cause of forward overhang not fats consumption. The body uses fats as energy efficiently. Sugar get converted to fat and stored. This is why so many people are always tired. Ener...
