Re: Should I worry?

Worry is yet another tool in the Devils toolbox, worry not and be happy. "When the world is cold, remember this: “Ladies and gentlemen, take my advice. Pull down your pants and slide on the ice.” -- Sidney Freedman ( MASH ). Meaning: Deal with what life throws at you but, don't let it consume ...

Re: Engine seized

Rick mentioned a Tbs.of lite lite oil in my plugs so I can't use 5w30 or not. 5W is light weight for motor oil. It is not a critical requirement. It is a suggestion to improve the odds of success. The idea is use to something that flows when cold. So that it can get between the cylinder walls and p...

Re: Engine seized

I've been reading up on these, and the seaform sounds promising,I really don't know, I took out the plugs without lubing the plugholes yet and no it's not budging ☹️ Seafoam is good for getting carbon out and letting stuck rings pop back out. Seafoam is a cleaner not a lubricant. You need something ...

Re: Immobilizer question

I’ll look for info on CDM 000D CDM ( C an and D river I nformation M odule) AKA DIM. CDM-000D = DIM-000D. If you look at his screenshot there are no control modules labeled CDM. It is probably a clerical error in the VIDA database. The CDM/DIM on the 2000 C70 also serves as the CEM. Its is a commun...

Re: Serpentine, steering pump? Help!

Is this supposed to turn freely? Because it doesn't. 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬👺 The Alternator will freewheel when the drive pulley is spinning slower then the Alternator. That way the spinning mass of the Alternator does not stress out the other components. Less vibration, Longer belt life and saves some fuel.

Re: Head gasket failure?

Also, how would I tell if the head needs to be straightened? With a precision straight edge and feeler gauges ... after you get the mating surface clean. Keep track of the smallest size feeler gauge the will slide between the head and the precision straight edge and the locations where it slides un...

Re: 1998 V-70 T-5 Cranks but no-start after running OK

Will a defective ECT prevent the car from firing up? A defective ECT can prevent a car from starting. Fuel burns on the surface. Fuel is atomize to rise the surface to volume ratio so that it will burn faster. When an engine is cold some of the vaporized petrol condenses back into liquid when it to...
