Re: diagnose steering rack leak 850

AT-205 is hard to get just now as the manufacturer in the US cannot get staff to run production. Local suppliers said they don't expect any more supplies until the fall. Blue Devil is a good substitute. Takes a bit of running of the car to get it working but fixed a RMS for one of my cars.

Re: 850 Tool question

ATF and acetone! You must have grown up on a farm Erik. I'll mention a few more esoteric tricks. One of them is lightly sharpening your torx/allen bit on a bench grinder while spinning it, to create a burr on the end, which is super hard and digs into the inside of the recess. The other trick, which...

Re: MVS Volvo Meeting in Europe ?

Well, I'd be in if timing and distance are within reach. But with the currently passed EU climate bill I doubt any one of us Europeans has extra miles for vacation or fun in the future. Austria, for example, just has to cut emissions by 55 percent till 2030. Even if we stopped heating our buildings...

Re: 850 code 424 tracs | leaking ABS pump

btw, what is up with the swedes, not shipping ot Austria? I tried 2 swedish parts shops from bildelsbasen.se but both said they are not shipping to Austria, but they do ship to Germany. Pretty crazy, we are all in EU and that is just a few km more. The Swedish have a deep fear of kangaroos. They al...

Re: It's not always the ABS module

I battle this on a daily basis. There are years of threads across all forums that pretty much spell out that if the lights are on then the module is bad. Those days are done. I scan every module that comes back in after I clean, repair and test it. Sometimes they have the standard 13 codes where the...

Re: It's not always the ABS module

@ Matty Moo: You say you can't just replace broken wires on the 96 up cars. What is the solution then? Abs sensor wiring can be repaired. I repaired a section on my driver's side front abs sensor this winter. The trick is to crimp the section with crimp connectors and not to solder....just like o2 ...

Re: Dealing with fading clearcoat on 850s

I think "ubiquitous" tells the story but if we're going to be pedantic (great!) then at least tally the numbers accurately (they weren't). For P80 cars if we also add in rguzz's new post then so far we have: (peeling, not) 1 unclassified - Sonic's we don't know for sure (but likely peeling...
