Re: Question about P2 Engine/Transaxle Mount Failure

My 2004 P2 it was the subframe bushings. Absolutely drove me crazy enough to replace every suspension part to no avail. Then the rear main seal sprung a leak and I insisted the subframe bushings were to be replaced since the frame was on the ground. To my surprise it cured the problem. So if everyth...

Re: didn't leave well enough alone

I think you will have to replace the whole pannel. Yes the shift bezel pops up to expose the screws at the bottom of the panel. June

Re: Fuel filler door won't unlock

If the hinge is getting hinky they can hang up. If it locks there must be a emergency release. Check your owner's manual. June

Re: cooling system pressure(normal)

Green cap 1.50 bar. June BTW the black cap found on older Volvo cars like the 1990 240 is .75 bar, both the green and black caps interchange even on my 2004. I ran the black cap until earlier this year when my mechanic insisted on putting the green cap back on and promptly the coolant lines to the o...

Re: Who doesn't like Limo ?

If june see this, there will be one in Florida soon. I've seen it! But already knew they existed. Call me morbid, but the hearse version in T6, would be the ultimate Volvo wagon. The UN in New York still uses a fleet of 1st generation S80 factory armored vehicles as the secondary fleet. Newer armor...

Re: Strut bar brace mounts?

When I had a issue it was a metallic pop from behind the dash. My mechanic knew instantly what it was and tightened the bolts without replacing the mounts. He said those mounts rarely need replacement. My 04 S80 being a P2 car like yours, it's probably the same bar and mounts. June
