Re: No compression on 1 - burnt valve?
You may wish to splurge for non-oem exhaust manifold nuts that are copper. I do this on my motorcycles and cars. If I ever have to remove them again, they come right off without much issue.

Re: What is this on a 2000 S70?
If I remember correctly the clock spring on that handles the airbag and potentially the horn. A little dab of super glue or epoxy will do nicely on that. No reason to replace it if you haven't been getting airbag codes or noted a loss of other functionality.

Re: 98 v70: looking for 200A alternator part number
I know the P2 goes from 140-180 amps, but I was aiming at the 200 amp that i thought existed for the 98 v70. I want to buy the factory AC power inverter system out of a 2012+ ford/lincoln vehicle and install it in my 98 v70. With the additional power draw, I want to eitehr put in a stronger (more C...

Re: 1999 Fuel Pressure Regulator
This ended up being the coolant temp sensor but at least I learned a few new things along the way. hi I'm having extended crank times just curious, how does the coolant temp sensor come into play here, and why did this fix the issue? al Coolant temp sensor determines fuel mixture at start - if it's...

Re: Correct Battery Voltages, Revisited
Alternator and starter cable resistances and bad grounds also affect charging capacity. I once asked the question of a Master Volvo mechanic I trust. He answered anything above 13.5V is good. The bigger issue is giving the car time to recharge after a start. My wife had an 99 Audi A4 that regularly...

Re: 1999 Fuel Pressure Regulator
hi I'm having extended crank times just curious, how does the coolant temp sensor come into play here, and why did this fix the issue? al Coolant temp sensor determines fuel mixture at start - if it's hot, less is needed, if it's cold, the mixture is enriched. When the sensor goes bad, it tends to ...

Re: 1998 v70...heater blend doors put heat only on dash
Is any other scan tool currently able to interface with the car? That would be my first question.

Re: Fuel pressure regulator question....99 volvo v70xc
When you get a moment, try checking your coolant temp sensor's resistance and see if it's in spec for your current ambient temp. Every once in a while these fail in such a way that the car will generally run extremely rich or not at all...
