Re: Tip/Trick: Wheel mounting alignment tool.
And when you consider that on a P80 the "alignment pin" is basically useless even when there *is* one, this is a great tip. With a large fleet and all of their tire rotations and snow tire changes, I remove and remount a lot of wheels. Feels like sometimes I have work too hard to align the...

Re: Burned Valve Database DATA ONLY or a P0455 code will be set
Jimmy - I think the cure for this is to get the car up to 4000 rpm for at least 10 minutes or so once a month? On edit - this is from The Queen of Volvos, June. We should listen to her for her longevity record includes the most Volvos rolled over..... I was instructed by my Volvo dealer service to r...

Re: Burned Valve Database DATA ONLY or a P0455 code will be set
Thanks jimmy, Ill put a thread on this together for reference. Im sure you are right and AC OFF was for drive cycle reasons. Since you quoted me on this subject I thought I would add I have always run my S80 at 5000 rpm for five minutes a couple times a year. (Right after a oil change always) At 19...

Re: This summer, used Volvo prices will go...
Mom shut down a group of whiners about how choices were limited at the supermarket today.
In her best Queens english....

Re: Fixing rocker panel rust - 99 s70
You need to patch that so that if you get an exhaust leak, it doesn’t end up in the car.

Re: Help with radio code SC-901
To follow up on this: Volvo USA was able to get me the code. Although the tool on the website did not work and gave an error, probably due to the VIN being from a Euro car, after I contacted customer care with the above images they got back to me with the code in under 6 hours on a Sunday. Amazing! ...

Re: What did you do to your Volvo today?
Xcel off 890/Broadway in Schenectady
$100
100 meters from Hunts Machine shop, doing my cylinder head!
All the local dealers charging $300 for rebuilds use these guys, but won’t tell you that.

Re: Think YOUR part was expensive???
Several grams of precious metals are used to make those suckers. Just be glad you don't have a bad def sensor, then you're derated and screwed until you get to the shop. The 5mph speed limit is a bit of a pain in the butt. Keeps me busy at work. Especially in the winter when this stuff really cause...
