Re: Tackling p80 Awd fuel pump
Does anyone know if there’s an obstruction other than the curves of the fuel filler that stops siphoning? My Haynes book says you can siphon at the filler neck .. in the diagram #45 seems like it blocks the tank entrance (part of rollover??). Can’t find it listed anywhere, and not sure if I can link...

Re: Tackling p80 Awd fuel pump
I was thinking about that, but couldn’t figure out how to go about it. Was wondering if a cheap inline pump would hook up somehow.wizechatmgr wrote: ↑06 Jan 2021, 08:12 If you can get a pump hooked onto the fuel rail you should still be able to siphon the tank near dry on the pump side. That said, it's going to be a long process...

Re: Tackling p80 Awd fuel pump
Thanks, if I empty the one side wouldn’t it not matter to empty the other then? I’m only messing with the pass (right) side of the tank. Thinking I’ll take another go at siphoning then for now.

Re: Tackling p80 Awd fuel pump
Wouldn’t that not work since my pump isn’t working?
I can crank it for 10 sec and get a tiny squirt from the Schrader valve on the rail

Tackling p80 Awd fuel pump
So my pump quit on me, of course I just filled up. I’m desperately trying to figure out how to get the 19 or so gallons out with little luck. I’ve tried siphoning, but the filler neck seems much too curvy to be possible. I’ve looked at trying to do the fuel filter but don’t know how I’d get the gas ...

Replacing Engine Harness '87 240 (b230f)
I'm looking for some advice on doing the engine harness on my 87 240 DL; I am sure I need to remove the intake manifold to get access to some sensors and connections under it, unless I'm missing something. Is it as easy as just unbolting the manifold, and sliding it up out of the way, or will I need...
