Re: Tire Recommendation for xc90
Well I settled for a set of tires and have put about 1000 miles on them and 200 of that has been the approach to my house. I wanted to thank wanderdüne, I appreciated all of the recommendations and I looked into all of them. I priced each one and did some solid reading on them. I wanted to thanks Ma...

Re: Intermittent Starting Issue with Excessive Cranking During Cold Weather
Hello, Winter here in California and I'm up in 6000 feet with snow and cold. I have the same problem and looking for a solution. The one that makes the most sense is the clogged fuel intake and the cold making that car draw more fuel to start and having the issue. Going to use somefuel cleaner and s...

Re: Tire Recommendation for xc90
Guys, I am putting new tires on the 2005 XC90 with 150k miles on it. I live off grid in California, the reason I state that is the road to the house is 3 miles semi rough dirt that is muddy, icy and rocky (like intermittent baseball boulders) in the winter (often use chains), and dusty dirt in the s...

Re: 2006 XC90 2.5L 5 Cylinder - Coolant leak
Ok so here It is 2:00 AM here in Taxafornia. I actually fixed it after all. The leak was at the PCV crankcase ventilation/coolant pipe. Its the nifty pipe that costs 200 bucks and is said you have to drop the Intake manifold just to do it, Well, I didn'y, but I didn't replace it either. My leak came...

Re: 2006 XC90 2.5L 5 Cylinder - Coolant leak
Hello all. I am going through the same issue, I thought I had it fixed until I filled the system with water and and it leaked out the tube you all speak of... 3 hoses, aluminum pipe casing, runs under the forward intake manifold, Obvious leak once I used a mirror and some good cussing. So I bypassed...

Re: 2004 XC90 T6 Broken Thermostat Nipple Upgrade
I upgraded using brass. I tapped the housing out to 1/8 inch standard pipe thread and built it out similar to yours. All is well. My next issue is the darn engine mount. Forgive me if I need to start another thread. But all the videos and explanations I've seen do not show the size flywheel that I h...

Re: 2004 XC90 T6 Broken Thermostat Nipple Upgrade
Hello guys! I have recently been cursed or blessed with the purchase of a hardly used 2004 xc90. And by that I mean used hard. I also broke the elbow off on the thermostat housing. Only after I had just replaced the water pump. After getting all things back together, the outer most belt cover would ...
