FS: 1999 V70 T5 - 206k - $2700

I am selling my black on black V70 T5 with 206xxx miles for $2700 in Milwaukee, WI. The car is certainly high mileage, but it has been maintained very well with many new parts on it. Should be set to run strong for the next owner. We're only getting rid of it because the family has outgrown it and I...

Re: 99 V70 T5 -- pass window stuck down

Thank you both for the quick replies. Lest I do something really stupid, what is the best way to supply 12v of power to switch?

Thanks

99 V70 T5 -- pass window stuck down

Hey all, I have read through many posts and can't quite figure out what to do yet. All my power windows/locks work except for the front pass. window and it is stuck down. I have taken off the door panels, cleaned the contacts, removed both switches, tried it again, and no luck. While I consider myse...

Re: Top end noise AFTER Seafoaming

I know there have been many posts on Seafoam and one in particular that was quite long that described his dissatisfaction with the stuff. Look for that thread in the search. I've used Seafoam on most of my high mileage Volvos with no problem. I never put a full can through the intake however. 1/3 of...

Re: 99 V70 T5 tracking down a PO442 code

Thanks, Misha. I'll check it out tomorrow morning and hopefully it will pass the emissions test (it's due tomorrow). I'll post back with my success or failure.

Re: 99 V70 T5 tracking down a PO442 code

Misha, I think those are the ones that I replaced. They connect to the charcoal canister, not the fuel filter, right? The one looks like a short "J" and the other is a bit longer and looks like a skewed "L". Those are normally the main culprits in a evap. emissions code like PO44...

Re: 99 V70 T5 tracking down a PO442 code

Misha,

Thanks for the reply. Do you mean the harder plastic hoses in addition to the two more pliable ones that attach directly to the charcoal canister (I replaced those) near the right rear wheel? I did not replace those. Is there a way to test them?

Re: V70 1999 Engine block heater

If the car is well maintained, it shouldn't have a problem being outside. I had my 97 850 wagon outside the past two winters here in Milwaukee without a problem. I used an aftermarket radiator hose heater (110v) on my 85 MB 300SD with success, but that was necessary because of higher freezing point ...
