Re: 940 1994 a/c

Bill, I removed some refridgerant down to about 37 psi. I took it out for a test drive with a temperature probe in the dash vent. The temp outside was approx 87 deg F at 9pm . At about 1000 rpm temp on my probe shows about 56 F. when I reach about 2000 rpm it stays around 43 F. Should I be seeing a ...

Re: 940 1994 a/c

Bill, I have a question on this same topic or anyone that can answer me. What is the correct pressure for the refridgerant? My 940 shows about 60 lbs at idle with the a/c on full blast. I also noticed that when I unplug my gauge to the fitting there is some oil present. Is this normal? Could it be p...

Bill,
Thanks for the help. Now for some reason the clutch is cycleing every 5 to 10 seconds. I guess it is time to to add the 134a again. Could a faulty pressure switch cause this too? Thanks,
Joe

Bill,
After I posted on this earlier, the a/c started working again, then the car died due to a bad rpm sensor. Does the on board diagnostics also detect a/c problems?
Thanks,
Joe

TripleB, Thanks again. Have you ever heard of the RADIO NOISE SUPPRESSION relay causing a problem? I read somewhere that it can cause a problem too because it is linked to the fuel injectors. I also read that many of the solder joints on the old relays were bad and needed to be resoldered. This was ...

Triple B, That was the problem. The wiring on the sensor was all melted. The insulation on the wires inside the shielding had all just melted or disentigrated the plastic coating on the wires. The Import Auto Parts in Lakeland, FL had 1 in stock. That was the problem, fixed! Thank You, you helped me ...

TripleB,
I am guessing that since this 214 code came up on the diagnostics, then that is more than likely my problem. Could it also be the wire connected to the sensor or the connector?
Thanks,
joe

TripleB,
This is great! I had no idea I had this diagnostic tool on board. BTW, I do have the B module also. Code 214 on a-6, 214 Engine speed (RPM) sensor signal missing sporadically. Ok, Where is this located.

Thanks, joe

I'm back again after about 1 week of the car running. It did not die on me but it did not start after we turned the car off. I tried disconnecting the MAF sensor but it did not make a difference. Am I going to damage anything on the ignition if I take a spark plug out and connect it back to the wire...
