They may have done something, or it may
just be a coincidence involving the small
switch in the ignition cylinder that detects
whether or not there’s a key in the car.
Shoot a little WD into the ignition cylinder,
then insert and remove the key a few times.
You may just be experiencing a symptom of low voltage. I’d suggest starting with something simple like a voltmeter plugged into the cigarette lighter socket and see what your voltage levels looks like while you’re driving.
