Re: 98 V70 -- No start
Hello all, I have a '98 V70. When it won't start the "J" relay clicks. Bypassing and using the special starter terminal works fine. Verified J relay works in another car. Has me puzzled. Any ideas? IIRC, and it’s an auto, you have three sets of contacts. The ignition switch, anti-theft starter cut ...

Re: 850 Radio Replacement - 1996 850
I am attempting to replace my SC-710 radio unit with an SC-811 unit, in a 1996 850. Can anyone advise how I might find an adapter or other solution to overcome the lack of an "amp" wire and plug to go in the "amp" port in the SC 811? Thanks! AFAIK, You shouldn't NEED an external amp for any P80 HU ...

Re: 98-2000 ECC Cold Temperature Issue, 9171800 intermittent
Long shot, but there are also a few power contacts in the string.
Ignition switch and the accessory overload relay that it energizes.
Anything else inop while you wait for the ECC to wake up?

Re: Engine removal questions
If you plan to keep this car for a while and want to bring it back to actual stage 0, I’d drop the whole shebang out the bottom, subframe, steering, trans and all. That gives you factory style access to all of the high wear parts. Get’er Done. I was just watching an FCP series on an RN swap into an ...

Re: No high beams -- 98 V70 Manual
Any voltage at the high-beam sockets?
Most susceptible to high voltage?
I’d look at the hi/low headlight relay.
And here’s a fuse legend:

Re: 1998 S70 replacement front rotors/pads help
I would consider giving these folks a call,
( Yes, an actual phone call ), and see what
options they have for you. The have a lot

Re: 95'850 Electric headlight adjustment
I would love to have that feature! Not sure why... Just seems like a great lighting mod for the sticks and back roads. You should be able to run your own wiring. Here are the diagrams and component locations: 95 850 - Beam Width Adjusters.pdf I'd probably mock it all up on a bench first, then get to...

A 2001 R?
I thought there was an R gap between 2000 ( P80 ) and 2004 (P2).
Could it be that you're looking at a 2000 R?

Re: No brake lights - maybe obscure master cylinder part
If what you're saying is that you have no brake lights showing at the back of the car when you press the brake pedal, then start at the switch at the pedal. Be sure that it has power and it's adjusted properly. The sensor at the vacuum booster does not affect them. And the float switch in the brake ...
