Re: 70 Series and 850 Doors
Thanks misha and combatkarl for the info. I will contact those bone yards around MN, and include 850s in my search.

70 Series and 850 Doors
I need a left/driver rear door for '99 S70. Does anyone know if a door from an 850 will fit? Or a door from a V70/Wagon? Will the exterior trim from the S70 fit an 850 door? What about the interior door panel and interior parts? Also, if anyone knows a good used parts source for Volvos in the upper ...

Re: '99 S70 AWD w/ new fuel pump - surging
I thought I got it back together exactly like it was, which is why this is so puzzling, and why a diagram and/or pictures would be helpful so I could double check it to see if I did in fact get it right. I have taken it apart twice (once when I replaced the original insert missing the metal cap, and...

Re: '99 S70 AWD w/ new fuel pump - surging
Misha, Thanks for sending that. Unfortunately, yes, the AWD is a fairly different setup. There is a thread on this site that goes through how to take the pump out of the tank by cutting a hole in the car's floor (the pump is mounted on the front of the tank on the AWD models), and replacing the inse...

Re: '99 S70 AWD w/ new fuel pump - surging
Misha - thanks again for your input. I actually replaced the Walbro insert only, and re-used the rest of the fuel pump assembly. I think the check valve built into the assembly is not working correctly, or the "blue doughnut" seal at the base of the insert is not sealing correctly. I can t...

Re: '99 S70 AWD w/ new fuel pump - surging
The car didn't have surging problem until I replace the fuel pump. I'll check the fuel pressure as you have described, though.

Re: '99 S70 AWD w/ new fuel pump - surging
There is no pressure when the car is off. I didn't check it when running. There is no CEL. After reading some other threads last night, I'm leaning towards a bad check valve in the fuel pump assembly. Thanks for the input - I'll look into the IAC valve.

'99 S70 AWD w/ new fuel pump - surging
I recently replaced the fuel pump on my '99 AWD S70 using the floor cut technique, and I'm still having trouble with the car surging upon start-up (revs to about 2000 rpm, then back down to about 800 in 1 approximately 1 second cycles), and "sputtering" for a few miles/minutes (like it run...

Re: 1998 Volvo v70 xc - awd fuel pump issue?
I recently replaced the fuel pump on my '99 AWD S70 using the floor cut technique, and I'm still having trouble with the car surging upon start-up, and "sputtering" for a few miles/minutes (even after the surging has stopped). I replaced only the insert (I found a Walbro GJ 235 from a plac...

I haven't taken apart a window regulator for my Volvo yet, but on other vehicles, when the window is slow or difficult to roll up and down (on a manual window), I have always been able to take the regulator out of the door, clean it, lubricate it, and re-install it with much better operation. My exp...
