Considering buying a 2010 Volvo XC90 D5 Executive Auto 4x4 with about 136k (km)on the clock.

Looks nice, wanted an XC 60 4 cylinder petrol but not sure on that's towing ability ( tandem trailer all up 750kg.)

I got hold of a pressure tester yesterday.

When I tested the pressure with key on was 40psi, when I turned on the ignition I observed the pressured was unchanged.

So i figure maybe the fuel pump is OK, so plan B.

Maybe need to test coils and test oxygen sensor as to why poor fuel economy.

When was last time timing belt was changed?

Timing belt done about 40k kilometres ago,idlers,tensioners everything.

I see a valve nipple at the firewall end of the fuel rail is that where I test fuel rain pressure??

Oops don't know how I got this wrong, mine is actually an Oct 94 build.

Couldn't find fuel pump under passenger seat doesn't even seem enough room for one.

Doesn't seems as if extra pedal is needed.

What do I need to test fuel pressure,can I do it my self ? I live about 250 km from ...
