I don't want to use this for "self advertisement", but I made cam seal drifts that you can 3D print :D

Re: Front ball joint tool - worth having or not? - 06 V70/XC70
Has nobody used heat on the surrounds of the ball joint to help get it loose? I seem to recall doing that one time.
Usually it's discouraged to heat aluminium suspension parts because you can alter the metal structure without realizing it.
I know that people will start saying "I've been doing ...

Re: Front ball joint tool - worth having or not? - 06 V70/XC70
This reminds me that I made a Ball Joint Removal Tool back in 2023 when I rebuilt my front suspension, but never published it :?
The material cost is only a couple of Money Units at most and it helped a lot when doing that job.
I was not able to press the ball joints out fully with it, but ...

Re: Need bulb sockets for license plate V70 2007
Sorry for the poor picture, I changed the license plate bulb at 1am and just took a quick picture:
But yes, the V70 and S60 bulb sockets are identical, you could just get a V70 harness, chop the sockets off and connect it to the S60 harness.

Re: Need bulb sockets for license plate V70 2007
Oh, you're gonna love this. The license plate light wiring harness for the S60 includes the trunk release switch, so instead of 20€ it's 160€ :D
The part number is 30634364.
I happen to know that because my switch broke the other day. Fun times, but at least I get two new license plate bulb ...

Re: Hard to find Gaskets
If there is a gasket available or a flat surface, I usually put it on a flat bed scanner and put Millimeter paper behind it. Then it's easy to scale and recreate in CAD and you can cut it out with a laser cutter or at least have an easy template to work with:

Re: 99 v70 front subframe bushing replacement
Unfortunately due to US import restrictions, I couldn't legally sell it to anyone in the US (only gifts up to 100$ are allowed) and shipping costs 2-4x more than the material. I don't want to become political, but I do hope matters in your country will be in order again soon :/
But there are plenty ...

Re: 99 v70 front subframe bushing replacement
If you have access to a 3D printer or know someone with a 3D printer, you can also use my 3D printed subframe bushing tool: viewtopic.php?p=641202#p641202
It helped me and others a lot getting the bushings in without distorting or destroying the bushings.

Re: What did you do to your Volvo today?
C70 front springs should fit on a v70 right?
Your kyb springs shows up as c70 springs.
According the specifications there’s some difference in height and outer diameter between the kyb spring you have now and the kyb spring that shows up online for a v70.
Now this is where things get's odd ...

Re: What did you do to your Volvo today?
So apparently it was actually the spring at fault here. You can see that the end that goes to the shock is just slightly different in terms of bending angle. But considering the actual contact area is very small, this is the most important area.
