Re: 2007 XC90 3.2l torture device
Well my son drove it last night ran it up to 90 mph and the code cleared. Since then the code has not returned. I got a gremlin I’m sure of it, he’s hiding under the hood waiting to mess with me.lol. Regarding the cold weather I’m in South Louisiana but yes it was 9 degrees and 12 inches of snow for...

Re: 2007 XC90 3.2l torture device
Well here we go again I’m beginning to loose faith in this XC90. Every year right at time for an inspection sticker bam the dreaded check engine light. OK so I have a week to fix it and drive 150 miles before my inspection sticker expires meaning I can get a ticket after the end of the month. Here g...

Re: 2007 xc90 3.2l fwd key fob housing replacement
I found a mechanic shop that has a key cloning tool and he made me 2 keys for $50. If anyone needs to go this route you have to be able to provide 1 working key. In my case I was lucky I had the working valet key (since the fob keys were not working)that came with the car to copy. The little glass t...

Re: 2007 xc90 3.2l fwd key fob housing replacement
If I can’t get it working from these steps there are aftermarket keys with the fob and transponder considerably cheaper could these be programmed to work with my car? The dealer quoted2 keys with fobs at $1273.66. Wow this is outrageous.

2007 xc90 3.2l fwd key fob housing replacement
Recently I replaced my key fob housings due to damage the fobs worked last night (lock, unlock, trunk, lights, emergency alarm) this morning I went to leave and the car is unresponsive. I put the key in the ignition and turn it and nothing happens. All the lights come on (headlights, interior lights...

Re: Question about my brakes
Oh, I forgot to mention I flushed/replaced my brake fluid about 12 months ago (it looked dirty) and there are no noticeable leaks.

Question about my brakes
I just completed the brake job on my 2007 Xc90 (new rotors, pads, and shoes from FCP ceramic). When I test drove it I noticed 2 things: 1) the parking break needs to be adjusted it doesn’t hold the car still at idle 2) when stopping the breaks don’t in my opinion engage evenly - explained the first ...

Re: 2007 XC90 3.2l torture device
Yea, mine came with the 336mm rotors from the manufacturer but I don’t have the third row. When I did the front breaks I found out they had different rotors after buying the wrong ones thankfully they let me return them after being opened.

Re: 2007 XC90 3.2l torture device
Ok, I’m going to call this repair a success. The check engine light is off and hopefully will not return for the remainder of the year. Thank you for helping make this a code effective repair. The smoke tool came in handy and will be a welcome addition to my tools for any future needs. Next project:...
