Re: Headlights changeing position when hitting bumps

Problem solved!! The rear leveling sensor is attached to the car by a single rivit. Then from the sensor there is a metal rod connecting the senso to the control arm. The metal rod has a small ball joint at each end to allow proper movement, but my lower joint was seized. Due to the joint being fuse...

Re: Headlights changeing position when hitting bumps

I have been searching the Internet like crazy, unable to find much information on this self leveling headlight system. I have located the rear leveling sensor on the drivers side rear suspension. Should I have a similar sensor with 4inch plastic arm contraption on the front as well? I have read that...

You will use about 6.5 to 7 litres with 3 drain and fills.

"If" my memory is correct you will use 3.4 litres per drain and fill..

Headlights changeing position when hitting bumps

I have a 2006 s80 with hid headlights When I hit moderate bumps the high beam headlights fall down.. To the low beam position, although the dash indicator still says the high beams are on. Flipping back and forth from high to low beam 2 or 3 times fixes the issue. What is going on here? Any ideas? T...

Re: 2006 s80. Worth fixing??

Thanks!! I sprayed some sea foam "deep creep" in the cylinders when I first got the replacement engine home. I hope the compression increases after I put 100kilometres on the engine. However, my 03 v70 with the same engine has 153 to 155 psi across the board and doesn't burn a drop of oil....

Re: 2006 s80. Worth fixing??

Im back in a four day work rotation , so I still haven't been able to button the project up and take it on a good long test drive. Plus I did the engine transplant at my old house "rental" where my tools are still setup. So I am not able to tinker on it in the evenings after work :( The ot...

Re: Throttle body cleaning issues

So, the car runs the same with or without the Maff sensor plugged in?
If this is the case you Maff sensor could be bad..

In saying that I had a bad Maff sensor on my 2001 xc, and it was throwing a code..
Something about Maff below threshold I believe..

Re: 2006 s80. Worth fixing??

It's alive! Got the motor in the hole and the engine running! Sounds healthy and runs smooth so far. I had the engine running atleast 6 times, once for about 20 mins to get everything up to temp. No check engine light so far! I still need to add oil to the transmission and put the front tires back o...

Re: Virginia Volvo girl - Catalytic chaos

You are correct, most small garages Are afraid to work on Volvo's.... However I'm not sure why.. They are no harder to work on in my opinion, they Are a hell of A lot easier to work on then a Volkswagen or an Audi. Most small garages don't have diagnostic abilities, but simple suspension, steering, ...

Re: 2006 s80. Worth fixing??

Got a couple hours in last night, transmission/torque converter are now bolted to the engine.. Which was a bit friggy I might add. The bad motor had a new timing belt tensioner and idler pulley installed at a Volvo dealer last year, and deffinently looked newer then the timing belt on the donor engi...
