Re: Classic ABS module symptoms + some extra lights? 99 S80

Before I changed out my ABS Module I was getting some weird messages too. In addition to "Brake Failure, Stop Safely ASAP", I also received "SRS Service Required" and "Power Steering Service Required". Once I changed out my ABS module with a rebuilt one they all stopped...

P300 Random Misfire

Hi All, Hoping someone here may have an answer for me. Basically what is happening is when I start my s80 I have a solid CEL and when my RPMs is over 2000 I receive a flashing CEL. The only ODB II Code I get is the P300. I have changed all my spark plugs and ignition coils with no change. It all sta...

2000 Volvo s80 2.9L Spark Plug Gap

Hi All, I picked up a set of spark plugs from the local Autozone and they usually have the gap info for the spark plugs but not for the s80. The spark plugs only have the one contact for sparking. I have seen other spark plugs with 2, 3 and even sometimes 4 contacts for spark and I believe those do ...

2000 S80 Door Lock Issue

Hi Everyone, I am back to pick your brains again. My car recently was hit while it was parked and the only damage appeared to be cosmetic. But now that I got the car back from being repaired when I hit the unlock button on my keyfob the driver's door unlocks and locks a few times and eventually ends...

Vibration at High Speed

Hi All, I am noticing recently that when I go 65+ mph my car starts to vibrate and progressively gets worse the faster I go to the point that at about 80 mph the car is vibrating violently. Additionally if I am in a turn at that speed the vibration either subsides or goes away but once I go into a s...

Re: Air Intake

Thanks for the advice I didn't even consider the amount of heat but I am sure I will be able to put something together to help with the heat. My primary concerns are the other tubes connected to the air filter box. Any information on what their functions are would be greatly appreciated, especially ...

Air Intake

Hi All, I have few questions for you all. I am pondering picking up a third party air filter. The one I am looking into is cone shaped so I would most like be removing the air filter box. Are there any negatives to that? I also noticed besides the air in and out hoses (not sure how else to describe ...

Re: Brake Failure Stop Safely ASAP and other Service Lights

Well, just an update. It has been a few weeks since the ABS module replacement and all seems well. No error codes as of yet.
