No doubt this is addressed on the site, but I could not locate it, so my apologies. My 1996 850 Wagon has 240k. The timing belt was replaced 7 years ago with 32,000 miles since. Should I replace it?

My mistake. It is plastic, not metal. I'll blame my advanced age. The oil is new, not used. Since the plastic trim is made from oil, seems like it would be ok, but perhaps the trans fluid is better as suggested. Armor All does not last long.

The coupler are Volvo and I think the rings came separately and had to be inserted. The leak happens only after you run the car for a while, and then it is a small stream from the lower coupler down the firewall, not huge but enough to require correction.
