Re: General fluid replacement question

I didn't response to what good fluid looks like, once they looks bad it's overdue or the system has a problem. Follow the maintenance schedule, if you don't know the history, it less the $100 for all fluids. What schedule and brands will be a debated topic. I've had 2 Volvos for over 17 years, '02 S...

Re: Air conditioning issues Topic is solved

I agree with Pete. The hotter it is the more the gap effects engagement. Last summer mine acted up on hot days when not moving. When moving it got better. On cool days had less of an issue. After fixing the gap it has worked fine.

Re: Removing Clean Tape On Roof Trim

The paint is Magic Blue #467 which has a metallic sparkle so I was really worried about the finish, but after wet sanding the clear and polishing it sparkled! Looks good! Did you wet sand both the base coat and the clear? What papers did you use? I might try some mirror hoods to match factory. Than...

Re: 2006 V70 rear swaybar endlinks ? Topic is solved

Would he be worth putting one in, I would imagine all the mount are there. Noticeable ride difference? I believe everything you need to mount one is there. I think it was an IPD video that mentioned that some models didn't have rear sway bars but could be installed. Both, my previous 2.4T and curre...

Re: Can you check a timing belt without taking it off?

Of the one I know that went, it wasn't the belt but the idle pulley. Which is a typical replacement when doing the timing belt. If you lived in a rust belt area, then I wouldn't push the milage. If you live in a place where 20 years old cars look new, then you can probably get more mileage out of it.

Re: Removing Clean Tape On Roof Trim

The acetone worked amazing, made easy work of the tape!! I'm working on the drivers side rear trim piece first. The acetone also soften the factory paint a little so I had to let if harden before sanding it. The first coat is on and in the morning I'll spray a second, then clear in the evening. It's...
